I am the Mockingjay

The last time I worked on this piece was about 8 or 9 months ago when I uploaded the picture of Peeta separately. At the time, I told myself that I was was going to finish this drawing but then school started and I totally forgot about trying to complete it. It was tucked away next to my desk for the whole year until a week ago when I finally began working on it again. Hopefully, I can finish it this month after I figure out what to do with the background. I unfortunately always get stuck on this stage and I feel like I'm going to ruin the drawing if I start adding anything else.

Also, If anyone is wondering about the mockingjay in the background, I tried to take my previous idea that I had with my other Katniss drawing and incorporate it into this poster. I wanted this poster to be a different variation of this [link] piece which has the mockingjay wrapped around Katniss. However coming back this drawing after many months, I feel like the mockingjay I drew looks odd to me. Something just looks off and I'm not sure exactly what it is. My sister disagrees with me but I can't seem to shake this feeling. Maybe I've just been staring at this drawing for too long lol.


As for the size of this poster, you can't tell from the picture above but it is massive. The dimensions of this drawing are 18" by 24" which is the largest composition I've drawn to date. This will also be the first drawing I plan on framing as well.


I really hope you guys like it so far. If anyone has any ideas on what I can do with the background or just want to offer a critique, I would love to hear it.
